Kwaku Appiah-Adu is a Professor of Strategy, and Senior Policy Advisor, Vice President’s Secretariat, Office of the President, Ghana. He coordinates the Energy Sector Recovery Programme. Kwaku led the processes of birthing Ghana’s Integrated Aluminium and Integrated Iron & Steel Development Projects. He co-authored Ghana’s Integrated Digital Transformation Blueprint. He is a member of Ghana’s International Financial Services and National Asset Management Working Committees.

 

Previously, as Head of Government’s Policy Coordination Unit, Kwaku concurrently served as Chairman of the Oil and Gas Technical Committee, Director of Ghana’s Central Governance Project, and member of the President’s Investors’ Advisory Council. Prior to that, Kwaku worked as a manager at PwC, and as an architect/project manager of multimillion-dollar projects in the UK.

 

In academia, he has served as Dean of Central University Business School and lectured at the Universities of Cardiff and Portsmouth. An author of over a dozen books and 100 publications, Kwaku has facilitated workshops at numerous global business fora. He is a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences and has been elected to the ANBAR Hall of Excellence for Outstanding Contribution to the Literature and Body of Knowledge. Kwaku has received several honours, including the President’s Crystal Awards for exceptional contribution to business environment reforms and national development. Kwaku is Chairman GLICO Pensions, a Director, Vivo Energy Ghana, and Ghana Grid Company.
